German cockroaches are excellent hitchhikers and often enter homes by hiding in grocery bags, cardboard boxes, used furniture, or appliances. They are also attracted to warm, humid environments with easy access to food and water. Once inside, they quickly find hiding spots in kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas where food and moisture are available.
